Supporting American Eskimo’s Unique Health and Behavioral Challenges

Did you know?

  • 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters every year (3.3 million are dogs)

  • Problematic behaviors, aggressive behaviors, and health problems owners can’t handle are the main reasons why dogs are surrendered to shelters

  • 1.6 million dogs are adopted each year

  • 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized each year

Known for their fluffy white coat and loving personality, American Eskimo dogs are the perfect companion. Those close to Kevin know that he opened his home and heart to Lilly when she needed him the most. They shared a special bond that brought a smile to everyone around them. Lilly quickly became the newest (and fluffiest!) member of the Kubasik family, teaching us all the meaning of unconditional love.

Unfortunately, Eskies require special attention because of their unique health and behavioral challenges. Hundreds of Eskies are surrendered each year because their owners can no longer care for them. Our mission is to support organizations across the country that help Eskies who suffer from medical issues and need special attention for their behavioral issues.

Supporting Eskie Rescuers United

We partnered with ERU to raise awareness of Eskie’s unique needs and help secure loving homes and rehabilitation services.

Our hope is to help other Eskies, just like Lilly, who deserve wonderful, healthy lives with families who appreciate, understand, and love them. This is why we partnered with Eskie Rescuers United. They are a group of volunteers who work around the clock to help Eskies in need of rescue. Our support addresses the unique behavioral challenges of Eskies, with a special focus on raising awareness of their needs and securing loving homes and rehabilitation services. As a result of our support, Eskie Rescuers United expanded their ability to provide medical screenings for new Eskie referred for adoption during 2020.
